Madden NFL 16: First MUT Details Revealed

Mr. MUT Coin

Posted on April 26 2015

For the first time since 2004 EA Sports has some competition on its hands with the release of Joe Montana Football 16. Not many details have been released about Joe Montana Football, but EA owns the exclusive rights to NFL teams and player names. However, the game may include NFL players but be exclusive to Xbox One and PC.  With the rising popularity of the MUT mode, expect way more people playing Madden than ever before and a lot more difficulty acquiring the cards you want.

Amazon has described Madden NFL 16 with “Be the playmaker in Madden NFL 16 with all-new controls that allow you to dominate in the battle for air supremacy”.

One of the biggest complaints over the past year from the MUT community is the opponents they get matched up with in ranked play. Often times you will get put into a game against someone much less or more experienced than yourself. If not that, the constant pausing and going for it on 4th and 17 takes away from the authenticity of the gameplay. This is going to change...

In MUT16, they are introducing Connected MUT League/Franchise Mode, which the Madden Mobile community was able to enjoy this year. You will be able to create leagues with your friends and compete in x number of games. Perhaps your league will have a stipulation that everyone has to give a reward to the Super Bowl winner. You will be able to upgrade your squad throughout the season and this will allow for a much more realistic NFL experience. Plus, what is better than crushing one of your buddies in a game of Madden? Madden NFL 16 will be released on August 25th.

One of the most requested features is the ability to keep track of your stats such as 4th down conversion rate, YAC, RAC, average passing yards per game, etc. There is no word on this as of now. We'll have more details on Madden NFL 16 in the weeks and months ahead.

Check out the images below for a first look at Joe Montana Football 16. The game is unlicensed and will not include NFL teams and players so it will be difficult for it to have much success despite how good the graphics and gameplay are.
